Volkswagen presented at the IAA for Commercial Vehicles 2010 the transporter in a version that was prepared for the hard railing applications. The new model is called the Rockton and is targeted at groups that operate in hard to reach places off the beaten track: this includes building contractors, railway construction companies or rescuers.
