The Aston Martin DB9 is a GT sports coupé launched by Aston Martin in 2004.

The DB9 is the first model to be built at Aston Martin's Gaydon facility in Warwickshire, England. The moniker "DB" stems from the initials of David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin for a significant part of its history. The DB9, which was designed by Ian Callum and finished by his successor, Henrik Fisker, superseded the now-discontinued Aston Martin DB7 (also by Callum) which started production in 1994.

On the British automotive show Top Gear it is thought of highly, notably on the show's "Cool Wall" segment, where the presenters considered it to be "too cool" for the wall and it received its own category, dubbed the "DB9 Sub Zero Fridge" which was in fact a mini-refrigerator with the car's card within it.

Edo Competition released the conversion package for Aston Martin DB9 to DBS.

Power boost to 550 hp includes:
-Electronic voting of the control unit, sports air filter and new sports catalysts
-As a completely manufactured in stainless steel sport exhaust system with throttle control.
-All work will be monitored and adjusted on the Leistungspru?fstand.

Only a sports exhaust system with throttle control completely made of stainless steel

The volume of the exhaust system can be controlled by remote control.
By pressing a button are two volume levels (and Super Sound Series) adjustable.

The DB9 has been adapted for use in sports car racing by Prodrive. Initially the DBR9 was launched prior to the 2005 season, running in the ACO and FIA's GT1 class. It retains the DB9's 5.9 litre V12 engine, but has been extensively modified to decrease its weight as well as to improve performance. The DBR9 won in its debut at the 2005 12 Hours of Sebring, and has gone on to take wins in the American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, FIA GT Championship, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Aston Martin DBR9 is a racecar that was first built by Aston Martin in the year 2005. It is named after former owner David Brown and is derived from the original DBR1 car, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans competition. The original car was also the winner of the World Sports car title.
The Aston Martin DBR9 is based on the DB9 road model. This version retains the cylinder block, chassis, and heads of that car’s V12 Configuration. The rest of the DBR9, however, has been re-Configurationered in order to be put to the test of performance competition. The bodywork of the vehicle blends great aerodynamic performance with the DB9’s aesthetic approach. The car’s body panels have been constructed from carbon fiber composite in order to minimize the car’s weight. In order to complete the aerodynamic body of the vehicle, its bottom has been designed flat from the front to the diffuser in the rear.
